Blossoms to Vineyards: An Okanagan Coast Experience
This
gentle downhill cycle tour takes us through the classic orchard
country of the Okanagan. This tour begins with a pick-up in
Kelowna’s Cultural District and transport to the Kelowna
Land and Orchard Company founded in 1904, where we take a
wagon tour through the farm operation, one of the largest
and most modern orchard operations in Canada leading the world
in the use of environmental technologies. Our guided tour
will include an introduction to heritage varieties of fruit
and lunch at the famous Teahouse.
After lunch we depart on our 22 km cylcle
tour through the beautiful orchard and vineyard country of
East Kelowna arriving at Summerhill Winery for a tour of the
winery, vineyard and a winetasteing. We are then shuttled
back to the Cultural District of Kelowna.
This tour begins with a pick-up in Kelowna’s
Cultural District and transport to the Kelowna Land and Orchard
Company we will see many orchards and valley views along our
scenic and informative cycle back to downtown.
