From Granite Tunnels to Rock Ovens
On
this eight hour guided tour and cycle experience, we will
explore one of Canada’s scenic wonders, the Kettle Valley
Railway section of the Trans-Canada Trail. Beginning with
about a one hour scenic tour of the South Okanagan Lake area
and beautiful Naramata Bench our cycle excursion begins at
Chute Lake Resort and is a gentle downhill cycle through Ponderosa
pine forests, past viewpoints high above the lake and valley.
This 36 km ride travels us past past railway relics such as
two tunnels blasted from granite; and 90-year-old igloo-like
rock ovens made from stone.
Our guides Ed Kruger or Joe Kyle, have been
exploring the KVR for many years and bring the Kettle Valley
Railway history to life as we explore stunning views of the
lake, valley and vineyards.

suspension Bike Rental, Guide, Helmet, Lunch, Snacks, Transport
