Westside Heritage to Winery Tour
This
tour begins with a pick-up in Kelowna or Lake Okanagan Resort
and transport to the trailhead above Westbank. We get fitted
to our bikes and go over a short safety lesson before we begin
our 22 kilometre mostly downhill ride where we will have great
views of Okanagan Lake and the orchard and vineyards of the
west side of Okanagan Lake. The first 15kms takes us on a
winding downhill road through the countryside and to our first
rest stop at the Gellatly Heritage Park for a trail snack
while we explor a bit of Okanagan history. We continue our
cycle tour to the Gellatly Nut Farm formed in 1905. After
a guided tour of the Nut Farm we continue our tour along the
waterfront to Quails Gate Estate Winery for lunch and wine
tasting on the patio and then a wine tour including a walk
through their vineyard.
This guided tour includes a 24 speed
suspension Bike Rental, Guide, Helmet, Lunch, Snacks, Transport
from Kelowna, Water, and Wine Tasting.
