THE SKY
The beachfront of Kelowna is one
of the vacation wonders of British Columbia. Discover the
classic views of the beachfront mixed with the the art and
culture of Kelowna. We will view the landscape through the
eyes of realism painter Mal Gagnon as we visit the large water
feature sculptures of Dow Reid along the lakefront walkway
into the Cultural District.
This guided art walk showcasing original works
from local artisans: pottery, glass, native arts, jewellery,
photography, sculpture and wood and metal creations. We will
visit galleries, studios and art boutiques. We stop to taste
some of the Okanagan’s finest wines at the Wine Museum,
located in the historic Laurel Packinghouse, and we visit
the art studios at the Rotary Centre for the Arts including
Mal Gagnon’s studio.
Our tour is complete with dinner at the Grand
Bay Café in Kelowna’s prestigious Grand Okanagan
Lakefront Resort Hotel. This tour includes three small Mal
Gagnon art prints which depict our travels and a glass of
of fine Okanagan wine.
This 5 hour interpretive tour includes wine
tastings, dinner with 1 glass of wine, 3 art prints, pick
up, tour guide, air conditioned van.
